So, be sure to look at all the areas that you are interested in and see what unique and creative ways you can market and sell your product in a competitive market.

Getting Started

The hardest part about starting your business at home is that you will need to set up a place that you can actually work. If your computer room is also in a family oriented place, then you will want to rethink this placement. You will need a space that is simply for you to work in. You will need to have a desk, computer, and phone at the very least. A filing cabinet and printer/copier/fax can also be handy.

Your business at home should also be taken seriously by those around you. You will want to have your business hours laid out and given not only to those whom you plan to sell to, but your family and friends as well. They need to know that you are not available during those times unless it is an emergency. Working for yourself can take more personal commitment than working for someone else. You need to have the personal drive to get things done and not put them off for more fun adventures. Business at home does mean business.
